When I think of research

I have learned that research is more than finding out new information. Research increases our knowledge on critical issues that arise in the early childhood field. I've also learned that there are many different types of research models could be good and bad for research. Research will always be one of the things I think are time consuming, although I like to read new findings, conducting a large research study, I would not like to do lol. During the research simulation, I've learned that planning out your course of action is critical. I've found myself cutting it close to deadlines; and research is something you'll have to definitely focus on day in and day out. Luckily, each week I get better at planning out what I would do each day. My appreciation for the early childhood field has become greater due to the fact that there are people that strive to discover ways to become better as it pertains to the early childhood field

Research Around the World

The site that I chose to explore washttp://www.earlychildhoodaustralia.org.au/.

Some of the topics that are discussed are:

  • Learning through educator child relationships
  • Play and quality in early childhood
  • Quality Improvement
Exploring this website shows that no matter where a person is in the world, there are always similar issues happening. I see that quality is still an issue, importance of play and educator/child relationships.  No matter the location, these issues are among those that anyone in the early childhood faces. Our main focus in this field, however remains on the young children. What is also great is that not only do they conduct research, they make book publications on their findings and how to be most effective in practices.
