My Personal Research Journey

I chose to speak write about lessening the learning gaps by use of equity and excellence no matter the difference on economic standing. It was not until I had a child, that I became more intrigued by young children's development. It became clear to me that I now wanted to work with children more than ever. After maternity leave, right after after the 6 weeks, I realized my daughter would be in the hands of a caregiver, and I was devastated. Would she get her tummy time? Would they read to her? Know the difference between cries? Who was going to keep my baby growing at a fast pace like me? Then, I was forced to move my daughter from a high quality daycare to one within my budget. And there are clear differences. My need for wanting to be an advocate for young children and families is why this topic is important to me.
